Babs Krug

Babs has lived in UD since 1973 and retired in June 2008 after almost 40 years as a UD teacher of Spanish and English, and even a little French. She has both her BA in Spanish and her MA in Language and Literature from Arcadia University, where she will complete a 13 year term as a Trustee in June of 2022. She has been chair of two committees and is currently a member of the Executive Committee there. Babs is the mother of two UD graduates (’97 and ’01) and she has grandsons in the UD classes of ’25 and ’28, and three additional grandchildren. Babs and her husband Mel were active parents while their children attended Fitzwater and the secondary schools, as officers of the PTO, chairing the Post-Prom Food Committee for several years, heading UDHS Football Boosters, and serving as Board members for Maple Manor Swim Club. Babs began serving on the UDEF Board as the representative of the Upper Dublin Education Association and has continued her service for over 20 years.
