ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. TICKETS FOR THIS CONCERT WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE UDHS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER BOX OFFICE BEGINNING AT 6PM ON MARCH 1.
For more than 30 years, the celebration of Music in Our Schools month has been an annual tradition at the District. We celebrate Music in Our Schools Month with two exciting concerts featuring students from all six of its schools. A fundraiser benefiting the district’s music program, the series will feature a Choral Concert on Tuesday, February 27 and an Instrumental (Band) Concert on Thursday, March 1.
The Music in Our Schools Concert Series is sponsored by the School District of Upper Dublin, the Upper Dublin Education Foundation and the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds from the concerts directly benefit the District’s music programs: funding musical instrument purchases, sheet music, repair, music software, and guitar building.
More than 500 students, in all levels of musical instruction--elementary, middle, and high school--will perform on the same stage, including a spectacular grand finale, which makes these concerts unique.
Upper Dublin High School will be hosting an instrument drive for Music in our Schools Month this March. All of the instruments will be donated to either students in need in the Upper Dublin community or Musicopia, a charity that promotes music education for students in the Philadelphia area by distributing instruments and organizing music programs. Instruments can be dropped off at the Music in our Schools concert at Upper Dublin High School on February 27, 2018 and March 1, 2018 at 7 P.M. Instruments can also be dropped off to our open mic night at Upper Dublin High School in the Black Box Theater on March 8, 2018 at 7 P.M. All instruments are welcome except for pianos, organs, and accordions. Also, all instruments must be in working condition. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Jeffrey Fishman (firstname.lastname@example.org), Ross Aronow (email@example.com), or John Crane (firstname.lastname@example.org), the student organizers of the instrument drive. You can also contact our faculty advisor, Mr. Christopher Horn (email@example.com).
